This project was by far the most challenging for me, as I have never created an entire brand for a new company. However, it was also the most fun I've had with a project. I love priojects where I not only get to create something completely from scratch but also learn about new cultures in the process. I have always had in interest in Japanese culture and music, so I was more than excited to work on the branding for a Japanese drumming school.

This school is meant for teaching children the art of Japanese drumming. In order to appeal to children, the logo had to be fun and friendly. I chose to incorporate imagery of a child holding Bachi (sticks for taiko drums) as well as a friendly-looking font (Filson Pro). The school colors are also bright and happy, bringing a light and joyful vibe to the logo.

I created three different styles of the logo to be used ofr multiple purposes. A horizontal logo, vetrical stacked logo, and a 1:1 ratio thumbnail logo for social media profile photos.

The social media assets that I created for the brand include banners for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and LinkedIn. Above is a mockup of the school's Facebook page.
Branding Guide
The branding guide consists of eleven pages detailing the brand guidelines for the school. This is the second brand guide that I've made, but the first I have done outside of a school project. I enjoy doing simple book layouts, so this part of the project was very enjoyable for me. I also loved seeing all the brand elements I had created put together into one thing. The client was very happy with the outcome and I was grateful for the opportunity to work on this branding project.
